Your details when you book

Last updated 2 October 2026

You booked, or are about to book, an appointment through a business’s online booking form. This notice explains what happens to the details you give.

Who is responsible

The business you are booking with is responsible for your details (it is the “controller”). It uses acceler8appointments, software provided by ACCLER8 AUTOMATION LIMITED, to run its bookings; we handle your details only on the business’s behalf and on its instructions.

What is collected, and why

  • Your first and last name, your phone number, and the appointment you choose (service, person, date and time).
  • They are used to make and manage your appointment, to contact you about it if something changes, and — if the business has them switched on — to text you a confirmation and a reminder before the appointment.
  • The business also keeps your name and number on its client list, so it can find you and book you in faster next time.

Your details are never used for advertising, and appointment texts contain only the appointment. The business may not send you marketing messages unless you separately agree to them.

Legal basis

Making and managing the appointment you ask for is necessary to provide it (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Keeping you on the business’s client list is in its legitimate interest in running its appointments (Art. 6(1)(f)); you can object to that at any time.

Who sees them

The business and the members of its team who need to. To run the service, ACCLER8 AUTOMATION LIMITED and its service providers store and process them — for example the database host, and the text message provider, which receives your number and the message. The full list is in our Data Processing Agreement. No one else, and they are never sold.

How long they are kept

For as long as the business needs them to manage your appointments and keep its records, and no longer. You can ask the business to erase them at any time; it can remove you from its client list and from past appointments itself.

Your rights

You can ask the business to show you your details, correct them, erase them, restrict their use, or give you a copy, and you can object to being kept on its client list. Contact the business directly. If you cannot reach it, write to us at contact@acceler8.cy with the business’s name and we will pass your request on.

You can also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy) or to the authority where you live.
